About
The Kilted Poet
H. H. Rist is a poet and author, as well as having been an Information Security engineer for over 25 years, a radio DJ sidekick and a U. S. Army medic (he still goes by Doc). Raised by an English teacher and a preacher, he grew up reading Tolkien, Asimov, C. S. Lewis, the Bible, Poe and Hemingway among many others. This unique background gave him a love for writing and an overwhelming desire to paint pictures with words. He is an avid trail runner and hiker, loves riding his motorcycle and helps train service dogs for veterans. He has two grown children and makes his home in Georgia.
